Nicholas Tupaj, CFP®, ChFC®

Nicholas (Nick) Tupaj is an Associate Financial Advisor for Northwest Financial Advisors, the #3 LPL Financial credit union investment services firm nationwide.1 He provides individuals and families with holistic financial advice and services that help them strategically pursue financial well-being.
Nick’s journey toward his chosen profession first took root in the 8th grade when he gave a stock market presentation in his English class which was well-received by his peers and teacher. Since then, he has dedicated himself to studying, learning and earning certifications that strengthen and expand his wealth management knowledge. Nick’s goal is to provide friendly, prompt and thoughtful fiduciary advice to help people build financial confidence and work toward achieving financial success.
Nick joined the firm in September of 2020. During his tenure, he enthusiastically pursued securities and insurance industry education, earning the following:
- Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63, 6 and 7 licenses
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification2
- Chartered Financial Consultant® certification3
- Virginia Life, Health and Annuities licensing
He also received a bachelor’s degree in finance from George Mason University, followed by a master’s degree in personal financial planning from Kansas State University.
Nick was born and raised in Leesburg, Virginia. He enjoys spending weekends out with friends and attempting to broaden his culinary horizons by experimenting with different dishes, flavors and techniques in the kitchen.
