Jerry Guido Promoted to Wealth Advisor

Herndon, Va. — Northwest Financial Advisors (NWFA), LPL Financial’s No. 1 credit union investment program,1 is pleased to announce the promotion of Jerry Guido from Financial Advisor to Wealth Advisor.

Guido has over a decade of experience in the financial advisory business, in addition to more than three decades of experience assisting both individual and business clients with financial, accounting, business operations and taxation issues. He has been with the firm for over five years successfully assisting clients — many of whom are federal government employees and retirees — with financial planning, retirement, tax-efficient investing and estate planning needs. He is privileged to manage approximately $72.5 million in advisory assets through Northwest Financial Advisors LLC and $53 million in brokerage assets through LPL Financial.2

Guido earned the esteemed CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from the CFP Board. He also holds an executive certificate in financial planning from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in taxation from American University and an undergraduate accounting degree from the University of Maryland.

Guido is based in NWFA’s Herndon, Virginia headquarters. He also serves residents onsite at Falcon’s Landing military retirement community in Herndon.

HERNDON, Va. — AVP of Marketing Mike Mertz was recently recognized for his girls fastpitch softball coaching success with an induction into the Virginia USSSA Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held at the Gregg-Adams Club in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia on March 2, 2024.

Mertz, aka Coach Mertz, entered into the 2024 class of the VA Hall of Fame for his exceptional role as head coach/manager in the Virginia Glory fastpitch organization for the past 13 years.
