LPL Financial Selects Northwest Financial Advisors as a 2020 LPL Top Investment Program

Firm honored for high-quality service delivery and advice

Herndon, Va. — LPL Financial (LPL) recently named Northwest Financial Advisors (NWFA), a subsidiary of Northwest Federal Credit Union, a 2020 Top Investment Program.1 LPL is a partner to the firm providing comprehensive brokerage and wealth management services. This is the third consecutive year that LPL has recognized Northwest Financial Advisors as a leader in the 11+ Advisors category.

LPL recognized Northwest Financial Advisors and its financial professionals for their use of innovation and leadership in driving change, and excellence in execution, in a recent program managers virtual meeting. Led by Sr. Vice President Karen Benedict, the program was among only five of more than 800 LPL Financial bank and credit union programs to earn similar recognition, a distinct achievement in a year that prompted all financial institutions to adjust to uncertainty and adopt new ways of doing business.

HERNDON, Va. — AVP of Marketing Mike Mertz was recently recognized for his girls fastpitch softball coaching success with an induction into the Virginia USSSA Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held at the Gregg-Adams Club in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia on March 2, 2024.

Mertz, aka Coach Mertz, entered into the 2024 class of the VA Hall of Fame for his exceptional role as head coach/manager in the Virginia Glory fastpitch organization for the past 13 years.
